Wow, this game is so good. it's so original also I have never played a game quite like it. honestly, even without the 18-plus stuff, it's super fun, but the inclusion of it makes this game damn near perfect. I hope to see more from Apollo Seven in the future

Hello! I just wanted to write and say that I've been very blown away by this game thus far. I hope that you'll continue to develop it- I'll be first in line to buy it upon release!

Also, Gales' route is very beautiful. It's not something I've seen yet in my three years of playing H-games. Thank you for writing it- it was deeply touching. :^]

I don't think my time has ever been so egregiously wasted. 10 weeks in, the princess goes into a forest, fail a stat check, and is sexually assaulted. That sucks, shouldn't do that again. 30 weeks in, she returns to that forest, fails a stat check, and gets her throat cut. Why did she return to that forest? Why did she go alone, without a guard, especially considering she'd already convinced an advisor to be a bodyguard/lady protectress? Why doesn't the developer use the Signs feature to determine what actions the princess does on her free week; does it make sense that a intelligent, demon-channeling princess would go skipping into the woods where she was sexually assaulted a few months prior?

This game is almost enjoyable, and I think the idea of having only influence on what choices the protagonist makes, rather than making them yourself, is interesting. Sadly, the obnoxious RNG, nonsensical (not all the time, but far too often) decision making, and the, frankly, juvenile prevention by the developer of reloading saves in the hopes that the princess makes different decisions all make this game a chore to play.

Improvements: Remove the RNG element of the princess' sign card selection: if she has the proper card, she plays it. You (dev) could balance this by further limiting the number of sign cards that be stored. This emphasizes more strategy and attention-paying on the players' part, as they can better plan for success by taking note of different advisors personalities and the calendar dates on which meetings with them take place. No more having 4 thoughtful cards and 3 cheerful cards and rolling any and every other card in your deck when you needed just one thoughtful. Also, make reloading saves useful for more than just passing stat checks. You might think savescumming is lame, but wouldn't you rather people replay your game, albeit in a way you dislike, rather than never playing again out of frustration?

Are you making sure you have 1 of every mood in the inventory? I am not sure about this but it seems when you start your lessons/events with all of the Council's Signs that the wild choices occur less. I am not sure at all if it's true but it seems if you're a stranger to the signs the consequences are far harsher.

Right now I have 7 mood cards, 6 Council Signs and an Exhibitionist Pink card and copies... I think that a  part of game is making a run and starting again with a boon from your last game. Vampire Survivors

I enjoy this game. I wonder if it was inspired by Princess Maker?

It was 100% inspired by Princess Maker 2. There are direct UI references to it.

It's an interesting game in the same vein as Princess Maker, but the heavy RNG really kinda ruins it. The game regularly places you in situations where it really feels like you had absolutely no choice that could've saved you, or situations where you'll be three hours into a playthrough only to LITERALLY DIE because you were a few points shy on one of the game's 14 skills, and the overall feeling genuinely does give the impression that you need to plan out the exact points and where you put them months in advance, but not in any way that makes sense. For example, you can't compensate for being bad at one thing by being better at other things, and despite the game telling you to pick which people to woo and which ones to ignore because you can't please all of them, some of them will kill the princess if she doesn't please them and the game gives you no indication as to who it will be or when it might happen.

Overall, it's an interesting approach to a niche genre, but the level of RNG coupled with the lack of guidance and the fact that one mistake can throw hours of play right out the window without warning just adds a level of completely unnecessary frustration.

Definitely can not wait for more updates, keep up the good work chief :)

Love this game a lot, it's very unique, and I can't praise it highly enough. I wanted to mention however, upon trying the v82 release on Android, the game seems to not quite work properly. The dialogue box seems to generate twice, a second one overlayed over the normal one, offset either slightly up or down from the usual position. The dialogue is served in this second glitched dialogue box, but no portraits are shown.

This certainly doesn't kill the game, but I felt it bore mentioning, especially given how good the game is without these minor issues. If it helps, I'm running it currently on a slightly older loaned Samsung, so perhaps it's an issue caused by that, but if it turns out to be a legit issue I hope it can be resolved. Your game is amazing, thank you so much for the efforts to make and update it!

LITERALLY UNPLAYABLE ON ANDROID

The "feature" that you can't redo card choices with saves means you will constantly be unable to choose your cards when you're supposed to, since the game has hair trigger touch sensitivity. Loading could fix that but the dev made that impossible, forcing us to New Game every time the game does this.

0/10 Don't put in features that completely remove player agency if you're not going to have safety measures in place.

(+9)

You don't choose cards. It's a check to see if you draw a color that matches the check.

So the game is working as intended.

I really enjoyed this game. It reminded me of "Long Live the Queen" and the Princess Maker games.

LLTQ was great but way too fast imo. This game actually has the same issue with classes, but not as bad.

hi apollo, sรณ I finally managed to get Evette's route ๐Ÿ˜ญ but I think there's a bug, mc was always submissive then close to the end she started acting dominant lol

I would have liked to see more of the princess in a miniskirt

Here you go.

What happened to this game? I remember when it first came out it was super hype but there haven't been any updates since :(

(+7)

This game had it's first public version back in 2020. The one here was uploaded because I was putting some of my older projects up on Itch. Currently it's on hiatus due to me being too busy with other projects. I have an update pretty much done but don't want to release it until I can work on the game more regularly again, which should be fairly soon.

oh, thank you for responding and glad to know updates will be coming out again soon!

Hmm... Then maybe I will wait for the next update to take a look...

I have discovered a bug where the defense check against Amelia will fail even if your defense is high enough

So many routes in the game is so awesome and interesting! ๐Ÿ˜‰๐Ÿ˜‰๐Ÿ˜‰๐Ÿ˜‰๐Ÿ˜‰๐Ÿ˜‰๐Ÿ˜‰๐Ÿ˜‰๐Ÿ˜‰

I can honestly say the RNG part of this game isn't good. Idk, it feels like every run is too samey. The same stats being incorrect even though I prepared for it weeks in advance. The same events. Just ugh, there's no replayablity that's promised.

I feel like there's something about the card system that I'm not understanding. The Princess' decisions never match any of the cards that pop up. My deck is entirely filled with Lustful cards (and one Exhibitionist card), and yet her decisions always align with one of the other cards (Cheerful, Thoughtful, etc.), even though those cards aren't even there. I understand that the Princess makes her own decisions, but as far as I know those decisions are supposed to be based on the deck that you "build" for her. Otherwise, the deck has no purpose.

You shouldn't be able to draw cards you don't have, yes. That sounds like a bug, one I don't think I've seen before.

It's not even really drawing cards I don't have. The Princess is just choosing responses that don't match the drawn cards. For an example: the Princess was invited to one of Filbert's lectures. During his lecture, the cards came up and they were all Lustful (as is the rest of the deck). Despite that, the little gem in the text box was blue, the little pop up notification said "a stranger to the river," and the Princess said to herself, "what is he even talking about? This is turning out to be really boring." Despite having a deck filled only with Lustful cards, I have never seen a Lustful response.

the gem that youre talking about (the blue one in the lecture) is the one the game is looking for for a positive response. So because you had no blue cards in your hand, you didnt get a positive response.

This is also why youre not getting any positive responses from your lustful deck... because there isnt a character really yet who is looking for lustful responses.

So for instance if you want to be in the inquisitors good books you need white and black cards in your deck, because all his interactions require those cards.
doe that make sense?

So if the princess picks the right card, she says something the NPC will like, and if she picks the wrong card, she just says a generic "wrong thing," instead of something related to which incorrect card she picked? If that's the case, and if there are no NPCs that want the lustful cards, why do they even exist? It seems there is 0 reason to take them, even from a roleplaying perspective, because she'll never actually say anything lusty from picking one of those cards.

SPOILER

so if you do not corrupted the princess from the begin and do not keep the vizier as your teacher and you don't have a good relation with the duchess yet. you will get ulric as a teacher and this is where lustfull reponses are used.

but yeah lustfull cards are useless other wise.

idk future content most likely

Sometimes I have a corresponding card but no corresponding check. Why?

think i found a bug. currently have ulric as my teacher but despite hitting the first corruption check and ulric saying he will teach the modifer stays at 0.5

This is a very unique game, i've never seen one that plays quite like this. I think the idea of the cards is really neat, and the way that you get more skills to combine and select cards the further you get is really cool!

However, the card system also makes some checks feel extremely unfair. When I have 5 of a card in my deck, its really frustrating to not have it come up in a check, which was my only chance to gain favor with someone in an interaction.

Speaking of which, I feel like the beginning when the counsel is introduced, it feels very much like you'll have pretty equal chances of seeing all of them. I'm not sure if I just imagined it, but I feel like there are some of those characters that came up over and over again, and the ones I wanted highest favor with are generally the ones I barely got to see. Plus, for some of them, it literally doesn't matter if you have high scores in some of their skills. Peyton's favor is almost completely reliant on if you draw a white card, for example. And if you dont, every interaction with him is ruined.

Also a lot of the checks you have to pass all three skill checks in order to gain favor. Which also feels kinda unfair. In one interaction with the general i passed every check but the faith check and my favor still went down, even though the other 4 checks I passed. Especially in a game where you have to balance what skills you learn to gain the favor of several different people, I just feel like thats punishing for no reason?

Also I wish we got to see more of the Princess's brother. I would like to see what makes him supposedly more competent than her, other than his y chromosome. But I just think that would be more interesting as well, to see that you actually have a competent opponent here and not just your little bitch of a brother who's only going to win because he's a man.

If you're considering playing this game for the sexual aspect, please don't be fooled by the cover image of a dominant lesbian princess. At least in my run, all the sexual encounters were with men, except for the player character. Which even then, I did not feel like those scenes were as animated or thought out as the ones with the guys. If you want to see her fuck creepy old men, go ahead and level her corruption. But romance and sex options in this game are really difficult to steer because you don't really get to make the decisions.

If there is a way to get more girl on girl content, somebody please let me know, because watching her suck the vizirs dick isn't exactly the ideal of sexy to me.

Overall the game is really good and really interesting, but a little too difficult for me. Of course I didn't expect to win on my first try, but to have favor with basically nobody because I need all their skills leveled AND to by chance draw the right card- well, that just didn't really feel balanced to me.

You are basically right. There are only two Lesbian routes in this game, and it is difficult to reach the conditions (reflected in the inner choice). It seems that the lesbian route and the route of becoming the queen are contrary. In addition, I can recommend some lesbian games to you alone

I would love some recommendations! ^^ I appreciate your insight as well- and I agree. It seems like having the princess get with the MC is not a very good route to take if you want to win, sadly. :(

Pretty interesting game. First what I liked about it. The writing is clearly very well thought out. I cant even imagine how many tens of thousands of words this whole game must contain. The 90s style aesthetic works quite well, looks very unique. And the mix of deep politics and sex makes for a pretty cool experience.

But the gameplay loop gets a little stale after 50 cycles. And it feels like its purposely evasive about how you are actually meant to play, such that I cant imagine anyone winning on their first try (when the game is complete of course). It sort of sells itself as a "choose your own adventure," but there are absolutely incorrect ways to play. But my biggest complaint is the fact that, after I looked in the gallery, I realized it would take so many playthroughs to unlock everything. When a single play through takes something like 5 hours, theres just absolutely no way anyone will ever unlock everything. The MC is so realistically portrayed as a naive princess that shes just not lovable enough to spend 25 hours with her doing the same basic task over and over again.

Its certainly not a bad game. But not my cup of tea

(1 edit)

I have so far really loved the game. Itโ€™s almost therapeutic when you know what to do, itโ€™s strategic without getting frustrating. Itโ€™s easy to study and collect stats and cards without overworking the princess. However, the only thing that doesnโ€™t make sense to me is that sometimes I will have the required card for a situation in my deck but it wonโ€™t appear in the response deck causing me to lose favour and affection. Is there something Iโ€™m doing wrong or is that supposed to happen?

The deck represents the Princess's subconscious and emotional state. To simulate how she's her own person making her own decisions, she only draws five cards out of the deck for a card check. So you can tell her stuff to make her more paranoid (black cards), but that only makes it more likely she'll pass an upcoming black card check, not guaranteed.

This some good game ngl. Wish it got some kind of guide for each scene in the gallery for those that aren't unlocked yet.

There's a little short line about what you need to do if you hover over a locked scene.

my bad, i didnt think about that way. good game man, keep it up!

Wow the story and mechanics and artstyle here are all things I haven't seen it's like in the dirty game space, or any game space. This is fantastic.

There is actually so much more depth to the mechanics here than a simple cyoa story. With the random encounters I don't know how many I've missed. Between that and pursuing a different advice to the princess there are a lot of reasons to replay this game.

Also, the music fits the old school adventure games the art is based on super well.

My only trouble is that at the tail end of my first playthrough I got a crash and I can't avoid this predetermined moment so I am going to have to play through again. Also at some point my encounters with Maria returned purely to the first scene's handholding, though I don't know if that's a bug or part of the mechanics that I wasn't doing a good job with.

Despite that I definitely recommend checking this game out, with the writing and characters and art and plots. A lot of work has gone into this. I'm truly shocked such a long game is free.

Though fyi to anyone looking for a quickie this one is a slowburn. But entirely worth.

@developer, would you like an image of the unity crash report I got? Is that helpful?

I'm glad you're enjoying it. In general, most crashes you get can be skipped past by clicking "ignore" in the bottom left. They're usually just small formatting issues and Renpy is being dramatic. Sending over a screenshot of the traceback is always helpful.

(1 edit)

Ahhhhh, good to know, thankyou! I thought I tried clicking that and it closed, but I probably hit quit.

Rip, I started again already, but I did save a screenshot in case it might help. Thankyou again for the game! It's fantastic! This must've taken so much work in both design and content.

I've been trying to play your games for awhile but none of them work for me they start then crash after leaving the title screen I use a moto g power

I try to make it work with the widest range of devices possible, but it's possible they just aren't compatible with your phone. Sorry if that's the case.
